I was gunna do Chelsea's thing - but I couldn't be bothered formatting it, as it copied over badly!! I'm going home at 2pm today to go Christmas Shopping (read: to pick up Sam's present that is on layby!). Then hopefully I will be going home to do some packing/washing/tidying up. But knowing my general motivation, I won't do any of these extra's and I will spend the arvo wrapping presents and buring CD's for the trip home (a whole 1 hour 15 minutes). But at the moment I am listening to NUFAN which is a CD that Chelsea burnt me when I was slighty ever so keen on RBF... I like the slightly love-tinged puck rock/sca music... it makes me happy!!

I can't wait for Christmas to be over - it's really just become a bit of an inconvenience to my life - I was just getting ahead with money, etc after the move, and then I had to go and shell out uncalcuable amounts of dollars for everyone's christmas presents - although there is the postive that I am going to Dirty Dancing on February 8th - it's my first live stage production by a professional company. I mean sure, I've been to school plays (read: had a chorus position in all of them at school) and I've been to one ballet (Red Shoes) which was fantastic! But this is Dirty Dancing people - the movie where nearly everyone I know (girls really) wanted to be Baby - heck, my sister and I used to re-inact the dance sequences over and over! And in the nature of firsts - Sam and I (and nearly everyone else I know) are going to BDO on the 22nd Jan - the first music festival that I've been to. And it'll be Sam and I's 1st anniversary of meeting on New Years Eve! Boy, how the year has flown.

On that note peep's - I'll be off and flying through my cruising five and a half hour shift before leaving for home!

Hey all!

Well, I made it though the Bush Bash - with a little money box to show for it!! It was a pig, and a money box, and Juliette and I carried them around with us all over Brisbane looking once more for a Wednesday night dance spot! You see in Brisbane, the dance music seems to be a rare comodity! So much so that we were singing Dirty Dancing songs, and jigging about, walking down George street to the Casino that last Wednesday had a good band playing Summer of '69, and other Aussie hits!! But this week, they had an easy listening band on - they were still good, however, it wasn't dance music. There was also a comedian there that was an average - he kept talking about sex - which was boring, as most of the jokes were ones I'd heard before...why would i want to listen to a guy complaining that he couldn't find the G-spot?

Last night Sam invited me to join him at Garden City for his joint venture of family christmas shopping and grilling me for what I want for Xmas - I have given him my idea (an Amber pendant on a nice chain) but in all honesty, he hasn't gone wrong in the two presents I have previously received, so I'm not worried about what I get, if anything.... but that's another story. Anyway, our night of shopping ended in me trying to source prices from the Perfume shop, and Sam getting pissed off at me for taking his negotiating power away. Sam being the shopping-rager that he is, then stormed off through the shopping centre, leaving me on the verge of tears, pissed off at him for inviting me in the first place when I had a bloody good book on the go. I gave him 5 minutes to cool down and walk beside me again, but when I couldn't meet his eyes for fear of bursting into tears (it was one of those - I hate Christmas, why do we do this to ourselves moments), he stormed off even faster, I couldn't find him, and went home. What a lovely shopping trip!

Anyway, it's the end of the week - I am dredding going up the coast - although Bec wants me to go out Saturday (possibly to the Xmas party). I wish I could stay home and rest this weekend in preparation for next. Quite possibly I will - depending on what's happening and how exited I get towards the end of the day, Juliette just told me that we will be leaving an hour early - after my 3:30pm departure yesterday, and hour and a half lunch, I'm quite happy with that! Life is OK!

Hey everyone who reads my blog!

It's been a while since I wrote, and so much has happened! I am loving my job, and all of the socialising that it involves! We went to the Hilton again, this time for a three course meal and cooking show. It was fabulous!! I also took my friend Rachel to Gold Class for her 21st birthday present - we saw Elizabeth Town, also fabulous! I spilt food all over me - it's really hard in those comfy recliners to get food from the table to you!! And because we were sharing all of the food, you couldn't just chuck the plate under your chin and eat like crazy!!

Sam and I caught up with Kelly and Mat weekend before last for a lovely meal at the Palmwoods pub - very nice food, if not too large a portion, but that's my personal opinion! That weekend we also had my family pre-christmas event where all secret santa presents were exchanged, and most of the family got pissed! My cousin Nic was up from Melbourne for the event, and overall it was a pretty fun night! The next day Sam and I went to his mum's (she was still in Tassie) and went for a swim, etc, and then as above, caught up with Kelly and Mat. We got back to Brisbane late and both went our seperate ways - Sam to get food and go home, and me straight to my bed to sleep off the extrememly tiring weekend!

Then this weekend we were meant to be going to a BBQ for one of my friend's birthdays, but because of the disgusting QLD "summer" weather [read: overcast/raining/torrential storms and rain], the BBQ was cancelled, but we came up to see Sam's mum anyway, and Sam took us both out to dinner at h3p in Alexandra Headlands - a pizza and pasta restaurant to beat them all! We went home via a crazy lady in Palmwood's house who had decorated not one, not two, not three, but all four sides of her house and garden in Christmas decorations and lights! It was a good effort, of course I wouldn't have the patience to cope with that big of a project!! Then on Sunday we went to see my parents and sister and we all went to Maroochy Surf Club for lunch - mine was average, once again not enough quality, and too much quantity!

This weekend coming, we are going to PALAZZO VERSACE, on Sam's work Christmas party!! I am very much looking forward to it, and as much as I am seeing it as a romantic getaway, I don't think that it will turn out like it at all as Sam is pretty intent on getting pissed! But, I will make the most of it by swimming, and sleeping, and reading, and possibly if I'm feeling brave, going out on "the boss' boat".... we'll see.

The weekend after we are meant to be going back up the Coast to catch up with Sam's mum, Kelly and Mat - but I really need to do my christmas shopping ASAP, or that weekend will be spent at the Sunshine Plaza or Garden City, or an equally crowded shopping area!

Work is winding down a bit - as in planning for 2006 is keeping us busy, but 2005 as far as events go is finalised... only the Christmas Parties to go now.

Gotta go, work to do and all that!!
